The annual Homecoming Parade begins at 10 a.m. It starts a few blocks east of campus along Fifth Street Northwest, heading south; then turns and goes west along First Avenue Northwest, behind the Chapel and Bachman Fine Arts Center; and then turns north on 12th Street Northwest to end near The W. Sit by the grandstand on First Avenue to hear commentary from our announcers, and don't miss exclusive homecoming merch, candy and other surprises!
The Renaissance Faire starts immediately following the parade, from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the campus mall, and features many vendors, including food trucks like Totally Rolled Ice Cream. Mensa will be open for lunch as well. Several student organizations have booths and fundraisers, so come out to support a variety of groups and businesses.
The Homecoming football game starts at 1:30 p.m. at Walston-Hoover Stadium, with the Knights hosting the University of Dubuque Spartans. Students get in free at the gate with your student ID. Adult tickets for friends and family are $6.
Oktoberfest begins at 4 p.m. after the game on the campus mall in the tents south of Old Main and goes until 6:30 p.m. Students on a board plan must show their student ID to get their evening meal at Oktoberfest. (Reminder: Mensa is closed for Saturday evening meal! Bonus meals cannot be used for friends at Oktoberfest.) Off-board students can pay at the door for $30 (or register before 11:59 p.m. tonight and pay $25!). All attendees must show an ID if they wish to consume alcohol.
Kammerstreicher will perform a Homecoming concert at 7 p.m. in the Chapel.
The Castle Singers will also perform a Homecoming concert at 8 p.m. in the Chapel.
