Flu shots available on campus
|
An on-site flu shot clinic will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19, and Thursday, Oct. 20, in the lobby of Neumann Auditorium. The shots are covered in full for employees and spouses on the Wartburg health insurance plan. Those who are not covered by Wartburg insurance can pay out of pocket or check with their insurance carrier. Please email hr@wartburg.edu and indicate which day you plan to attend. Please bring your HealthPartners health insurance ID card so the claim can be filed.
If you cannot attend the on-site clinic, you can visit an in-network pharmacy or provider with HealthPartners to administer your flu shot at no cost. Please note that depending on your provider, you may be charged for an office visit.

Wartburg Track & Field sets rummage sale

A Track & Field rummage sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14, in The W’s Hall of Fame Room. All items must go. Cash, checks, and Venmo will be accepted. Items for sale include miscellaneous T-shirts, sweatshirts, sweatpants, and hats. Remaining items will be offered for sale at the Renaissance Faire on Saturday, Oct. 15.

Achievements and accomplishments

Students Halle Van Roekel, Rainy Kock, and Jacob Georgen published their research done with Dr. Sean T. Coleman in the American Society of Microbiology journal Microbiology Resource Announcements. The title of the research is "Genome Sequence and Characteristics of the Microbacterium foliorum Cluster EE Bacteriophage Burgy." The bacterial virus, the first identified at Wartburg, was named after Wartburg College by the students. The research was supported by the Wartburg Undergraduate Research Fund. |

The 2023-24 FAFSA is now available. Every student who will receive financial aid for the 2023-24 school year should submit one. The Financial Aid Office highly recommends using the IRS Data Retrieval Tool to ensure correct 2021 tax information is used. Much of the information will carry over from your 2022-23 FAFSA, but Wartburg’s code is #001896 if you need to enter it again.

Noah Campus Health Clinic is an outpatient clinic on Wartburg's campus that can meet most health needs of students, faculty, staff, and immediate family members. Medical conditions that go beyond the scope of the clinic are referred to off-campus providers. Noah Campus Health Clinic is in Suite 1392 on the lower level of The W. A generous donor has once again made it possible for the college to sponsor a German Heritage Tour, which will be June 8-18, 2023. Up to 20 faculty and staff can participate in this exciting exploration of Germany and our heritage. Everyone is encouraged to apply regardless of their role at the college. Successful applicants will be asked to pay a $500 fee and will be responsible for the cost of their passport, personal insurance, some meals, and discretionary spending.
