Reserve parking on Friday for inauguration guests

Please refrain from parking in E Lot (east of the Student Center) or F Lot (south of the Chapel and Fine Arts Center) on Friday, Oct. 15. Inauguration guests and delegates will be directed to park in those areas.
Everyone is welcome to attend the inauguration at 2:30 p.m. in Neumann Auditorium; the event will also be live streamed on Knight Vision.

Wartburg Track & Field sets rummage sale

A Track & Field rummage sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14, in The W’s Hall of Fame Room. All items must go. Cash, checks, and Venmo will be accepted. Items for sale include miscellaneous T-shirts, sweatshirts, sweatpants, and hats. Remaining items will be offered for sale at the Renaissance Faire on Saturday, Oct. 15.

Apply for language study experiences
|
U.S. students can apply now to study one of 14 critical languages (not French, German, or Spanish) with the summer 2023 CLS Program, a fully funded, overseas, intensive language and cultural immersion experience. Application deadline is Nov. 15.
Additionally, CLS Spark is an online summer 2023 language intensive program for U.S. students to learn beginning Arabic, Chinese, or Russian, sponsored and fully funded by the U.S. State Department. Applications are due by Nov. 15.

Join JO-YO on the campus mall Monday, Oct. 17, starting at 6:30 p.m. This is a wellness workshop that combines both journaling and yoga. Bring a yoga mat or towel and something to journal with as Kayla Becker from Stories in Motion LLC leads this stress-free opportunity.

Weekday Chapel services are from 10:15 to 10:35 a.m. each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday in Wartburg Chapel. Chapel time is a brief opportunity to gather with students, staff, and faculty to reflect on God and faith. Mondays feature faculty and staff faith stories and blessings, Wednesdays include Holy Communion to which all are welcome, and Fridays have Senior Chapels.

FAFSA can now be filed for 2023-24
|
The 2023-24 FAFSA is now available. Every student who will receive financial aid for the 2023-24 school year should submit one. The Financial Aid Office highly recommends using the IRS Data Retrieval Tool to ensure correct 2021 tax information is used. Much of the information will carry over from your 2022-23 FAFSA, but Wartburg’s code is #001896 if you need to enter it again.

Noah Campus Health Clinic is an outpatient clinic on Wartburg's campus that can meet most health needs of students, faculty, staff, and immediate family members. Medical conditions that go beyond the scope of the clinic are referred to off-campus providers. Noah Campus Health Clinic is in Suite 1392 on the lower level of The W. Graduating students: Did you have a high school teacher who inspired you and contributed to your accomplishment of earning a baccalaureate degree from Wartburg College? If so, please nominate your teacher for the Outstanding High School Teacher of the Year Award. Anyone is eligible, regardless of residence. Winning teachers will receive $500. In addition, a $500 scholarship will be made available to a rising senior from your high school. Nominations must be received by Nov. 1.

Serve the United Way as student board representative
|
Wartburg College and the Waverly-Shell Rock Area United Way are seeking a student representative to serve on the board of directors, with service beginning in winter 2023 and concluding in December 2024. This is great opportunity to make a difference in the local community and develop skills that will prove valuable in other settings.
Interested students should plan to be in the Waverly community during their entire time of board service and will be responsible for attending monthly meetings, a day of nonprofit agency funding hearings, and subcommittee meetings.
