The annual Homecoming Parade begins at 10 a.m. It starts a few blocks east of campus along Fifth Street Northwest, heading south; then turns and goes west along First Avenue Northwest, behind the Chapel and Bachman Fine Arts Center; and then turns north on 12th Street Northwest to end near The W.
The Renaissance Faire starts immediately following the parade, from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the campus mall, and features many vendors, including food trucks. Mensa will be open for lunch as well. Several student organizations have booths and fundraisers, so come out to support a variety of groups and businesses.
The Homecoming football game starts at 1:30 p.m. at Walston-Hoover Stadium, with the Knights hosting the Nebraska Wesleyan Prairie Wolves. Students get in free at the gate with your student ID. Adult tickets for friends and family are $6.
Oktoberfest begins just after the game on the campus mall in the tents south of Old Main, about 4 p.m., and goes until 6:30 p.m. Students on a board plan must show their student ID to get their evening meal at Oktoberfest. (Reminder: Mensa is closed for Saturday evening meal! Bonus meals cannot be used for friends at Oktoberfest.) Off-board students can pay at the door for $25 (or register before 11:59 p.m. tonight and pay $20!). Students age 21 and older must show an ID to consume alcohol.
