Day of Service on Tuesday

The Volunteer Action Center will sponsor a Day of Service for students on campus during May Term on Tuesday, May 9, from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. (meet by the fountain.) You do not need to stay for the whole time. Some service activities include planting flowers and cleaning up outside around campus. The rain date will be May 11 during the same time period. Give back with some great people, and come help us make campus look great! Direct questions to Madison Bloker.

NEW ANNOUNCEMENTS

Online vehicle registration for 2017-18
To date, 435 students have registered their vehicles for next year. Are you one of them? If not, be sure to register before June 27. It's best to register now so you don’t forget after May Term. The process only takes a minute or two.

Why register now?
1. Avoid the $25 late registration fee. Any vehicle registered after June 27 incurs that fee.
2. Get a parking voucher, good for one ticket.
3. Maximize the chances of being assigned to the parking lot of your choice. Not registering guarantees you’ll be assigned to D Lot.
To register, log in on InfoCenter. Under “Offices” select “Parking & Safety” and then click on “Parking Registration.” If you register correctly, you’ll receive a confirmation email. If you have any problems registering, contact Campus Security or visit the Campus Security Office weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
LSAT prep class
Wartburg College is sponsoring a Law School Admission Test (LSAT) prep class Sunday, May 14, from 2 to 6 p.m., in Luther Hall 201. The class, which is open to everyone, will be taught by an experienced LSAT prep instructor. Participants will gain valuable information and test strategies as they prepare for the exam. The cost of the class is $50. For more information or to register, contact Karen Thalacker at 319-352-6163.
Konditorei closed Tuesday
The Konditorei will be closed Tuesday, May 9, to repair the heating and air conditioning system. Meal transfers through GET will not be available during this time for the Konditorei. You will still be able to order meal transfers through the Den. Thank you for your understanding.
Office and school supply sale
The Wartburg Store is making room for new supplies and passing the savings on to you! We’re offering 50 percent off a variety of supplies during our in-store sale Tuesday, May 9, and Wednesday, May 10. This is a great opportunity to stock up for next term.

Film crew on campus
A Los Angeles-based independent film crew will be on campus through mid-May to produce a faith-based film inspired by the story of Mike Jensen ’96, former lecturer in music and voice instructor at Wartburg, who is battling brain cancer. The project is led by alumnus Brian Ide ’96 and will involve many students. Please be aware the college is supporting this endeavor, and we encourage the campus to be as hospitable as possible.
The film needs extras for several scenes in the movie. If you are available during parts of these days, please contact Ashley Gibson, production manager, at ashleygibson1@me.com or 609-332-2351. Wartburg students are not excused from classes in order to participate in the film.
