The Juice (SL&CM) - Dec. 7

December Commencement and Sunday worship — Dr. Michael Bechtel, assistant professor of science education and 2015 recipient of the John O. Chellevold Student Award for Excellence in Teaching and Professional Service, will give the message Sunday, Dec. 13, 10:30 a.m., in Wartburg Chapel. Music by Dr. Karen Black and the Chamber Orchestra directed by Dr. Jacob Tews.

Candlelight Vespers — Wartburg students, faculty, staff, and friends are invited to Candlelight Vespers on Sunday, Dec. 13, 7 p.m., in the Wartburg Chapel. The service will include the singing of traditional carols and the lighting of candles. Pastor Ramona Bouzard will give the homily. The Wartburg Flute Choir, Dr. Karen Black, Psalm 149 dance group, and student vocalists will provide music. 

Weekday Chapel services — Chapel is each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 10:15-10:35 a.m. Upcoming messages will be given by: 

  • Today, Dec. 7 — Elizabeth Pflibsen '16
  • Wednesday, Dec. 9 — Advent Chapel
  • Friday, Dec. 11 — Alison Leonhart '16


The Way of Jesus Bible study — Join us for The Way of Jesus Wednesdays, 7:30-8:30 p.m., in the Chapel Commons (basement). Come and explore the Christian faith as a way of life through Bible study, spiritual pracitices, and conversation. Bring a Bible as we focus on the Gospel of Mark. If you don't have one, some will be available. For more information or to sign up, contact Pastor Brian Beckstrom at brian.beckstrom@wartburg.edu. Registration is not required.


Midweek Eucharist — Join us as we gather for prayer, praise, fellowship, and sharing centered around Holy Communion Wednesdays, 9 p.m., in Wartburg Chapel. JulieAnna Olague '18 will give the message.
