Halloween event for families tonight

The Wartburg women’s soccer team along, with support from the Wartburg Athletic Department, invites all Wartburg employee families to a night of trick-or-treating tonight, Oct. 30, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. This event was designed to give Wartburg families a safe alternative for trick-or-treating this year. We have guidelines to keep everyone safe (see below), and we will have lots of candy and glow sticks for the trick-or-treaters. We request that children be accompanied by an adult during the event. Wartburg student-athletes will also be dressing up in Halloween costumes to put on a safe and fun night for our Wartburg community!

Guidelines:

Everyone (players, coaches, parents and trick-or-treaters) must wear a fabric face mask (costume masks do not count; please make sure children still wear a proper fabric face mask covering their mouth and nose). |

Tables will be set up at each location for children to individually pick up treats so there is no close contact with anyone. |

Social distancing between trick-or-treaters will also be enforced with cones at each location. This will help prevent children getting too close at each station. |

All teams at this event will be at least 6 feet away from all trick-or-treaters. |
Locations:
All locations will be outside places with lights for children to trick-or-treat safely. We will have several stations/tables at each location, so your children will get plenty of candy!

Drivers needed for Election Day rides
|
Student Life is looking for volunteer staff/faculty drivers to drive students to the Waverly polling stations on Tuesday, Nov. 3. All drivers must be certified to drive a Wartburg vehicle; we will use a van outfitted with a Plexiglas barrier for driver safety. Students will be able to sign up for rides at the top of every hour from 9 a.m. through 7 p.m. Please email Jennifer Onuigbo if you are interested in helping, and include the times you would be available to help.
