Audition for Reformation celebration play |
Students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to audition for the November production of A Parade of Witnesses. The play focuses on how Martin Luther touched people differently in his own time as conveyed through Luther’s conversations with a variety of contemporary and future personae. It will be presented as part of the celebration of the 500th anniversary of the Reformation. Contact Sally Malcolm with questions. Auditions will take place at the following times in Choral Hall in the FAC:
- Wednesday, Oct. 4, 7 p.m.
- Monday, Oct. 9, 7 p.m.
- Tuesday, Oct. 10, 8 p.m.

Notice from the Business Office |
Students with an account balance greater than $1,000 must contact the Business Office (Luther Hall 212, 352-8411) or Financial Aid Office (Luther Hall 212, 352-8262) as soon as possible to discuss payment and/or loan options. Students failing to pay their account balance in full or below $1,000 by Thursday, Nov. 9, may have their Winter/May Term registration cancelled by Enrollment Management. Those applying student employment wages to their account who feel their balance will be below $1,000 by the November student payroll should inform the Business Office. Those signed up for the Monthly Tuition Payment Plan and current with payments can disregard this notice. |

Career Expo on Oct. 5 |
Are you looking for an internship, post-graduate job, or admission to graduate/professional school? Plan to attend the Career Expo on Thursday, Oct. 5, 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m., in The W’s Hall of Champions. The expo is intended for all majors and all class years as a way to make connections with real businesses, organizations, and graduate/professional schools. Some tables may even have applications, so dress to impress, bring a resume, and be prepared. Stop in Pathways, on the third floor of Vogel Library, for resume help. Math, Computer Science & Physics Department Seminar |
The next Math, Computer Science & Physics Department Seminar will be Tuesday, Oct. 3, at 11:30 a.m., in Science Center 134. Sabah Munir ’19, a biochemistry major, will discuss her summer research experience in a talk titled Genetic Risk Factors for Preterm Birth: Biostatistics at the University of Iowa. All are invited. Students needed for research study |
Students are needed for a research study concerning campus response to sexual assault. The outcomes of this research may be crucial in deciding how colleges address issues of sexual assault in the future. This study will take about an hour. Flu shots available |
Noah Health Clinic recommends that students have an annual flu vaccination. The Walk-In Clinic at Waverly Health Center, 312 Ninth St. SW, will hold flu vaccination clinics on:
- Thursday, Oct. 5, 5 to 8 p.m.
- Thursday, Oct. 12, 5 to 8 p.m.
- Thursday, Oct. 19, 5 to 8 p.m.

Reformation Anniversary Celebration Table Talks |
On Tuesday, Oct. 31, faculty, staff, and students will have the chance to share their thoughts and questions during Wartburg’s 500th Anniversary of the Protestant Reformation Celebration Table Talks. The groups will have guided discussion and honest conversation about the college’s mission of faith and learning and the future of Spiritual Life and Campus Ministry. No classes, lessons, practices, or college-sponsored meetings will be held during this time, and all offices or departments that are able to close will to enable students, staff, and faculty to participate. Cash bags for Ren Faire |
If your student organization will be having a booth at the Renaissance Faire during Homecoming and needs a cash bag for change, the deadline to request a bag is Wednesday, Oct. 4, at noon. Any requests turned in after this date will not be honored. A Payment Voucher form needs to be filled out with the amount requested and the denominations.
