Achievements and accomplishments
Lindsey Leonard received her NASPA Certificate in Student Affairs Law & Policy, an intensive 23-hour residential program that provides an opportunity for in-depth study to enhance student affairs professionals' knowledge and understanding of law and policy.
Dr. Sean T. Coleman, associate professor of biology, co-authored an article with a cohort of faculty as part of the HHMI Science Education Alliance on Course-Based Undergraduate Research Experiences in the journal Frontiers in Education. The article, “Models of Classroom Assessment for Course-Based Research Experiences,” presents results from a three-year, qualitative, large-scale, community-based investigation of the ways in which active faculty who teach in a shared course-based research experience (CURE) conduct their in-lab assessments. Prior research has shown that the design of a CURE presents particular challenges for instruction and assessment. The current study addresses ways in which faculty handle this challenge and presents the practices and models of assessment used by faculty.

Condolences

Our condolences to family, friends, and former co-workers of Mary "Cookie" Dreesman, who worked in Operations & Maintenance for more than 20 years. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. See the obituary.
