The Juice (Student) - March 22

UKnight Day, VAC applications, more
##SENDGRIDOPENTRACKING##

March 22, 2021

UKnight Day is this Thursday!

It's time to UKnight! We’re calling all students to participate and help us reach our goal of 1,852 donors in 24 hours on Thursday, March 25...

What is UKnight Day?

It is Wartburg's annual day of giving on which students, parents, faculty, staff, alumni and community members come together to share what it means to be a Knight and support the Annual Fund, which provides for all sorts of activities at Wartburg. Learn more with the FAQs at this link and watch Wartburg's social media all day Thursday!

Why should students give back?

Wartburg College relies on donors every year to continue providing current students the best experience possible. By being one of those donors, you follow in the steps of alumni who paved the way for you and provide for students who come after you.

What's the special gift this year?

If you give a gift of $10 or more on March 25, you’ll receive an exclusive black Wartburg fanny pack with a coupon book full of special deals from several businesses in the community, including dining services here on campus. You also get a raffle ticket to enter for the chance to win a VIP parking spot at the location of your choice through the end of May Term 2021!

Tell me more about this VIP Parking spot…

The raffle winner gets their very own parking spot on campus (thanks to the Wartburg Security office) as close as possible to their dorm or preferred building. Security will ticket anybody else who parks in your spot! (Alternative prize for seniors or those without a vehicle on campus; raffle prize is non-transferable.)

Here’s how to enter the raffle:

Students can give any amount on March 25 and get one raffle ticket to win a reserved on-campus parking spot good through the end of May Term 2021. (Must select "Student" if making gift online via form.)
Give $10 or more, and you get a second raffle ticket, doubling your chances (plus, you get the fanny pack and coupon book).
Give $20.21 or more, and your two raffle tickets are upgraded! If your upgraded ticket is drawn, the VIP parking spot would be yours for ONE WHOLE YEAR, until March 2022. You also pay NOTHING for parking in 2021-22 (up to $310 in value).

Contact studentsuknight@wartburg.edu for details or stop by Student HQ in the McCoy Rooms on Thursday to learn more.

The orange bikes are back!

Thanks to recent warm temperatures and melting snow, bikes are now available for checkout at the Vogel Library. To borrow a bike, fill out a user agreement form if you haven’t yet this year. Checkout is for four hours, and bikes need to be returned by dark as they are not equipped to use at night. If a late snow happens, the bikes will be temporarily unavailable due to safety reasons. Stop by the library circulation desk on second floor if you have questions or to check one out and enjoy the fresh spring air with a bike ride!
