The Juice (Faculty/Staff) - March 22

UKnight Day, Baldwin Leadership Fellows, more
##SENDGRIDOPENTRACKING##

March 22, 2021

UKnight Day is this Thursday!

It's time to UKnight! We’re calling all faculty and staff to participate and help us reach our goal of 1,852 donors in 24 hours on Thursday, March 25... see details at this link, including FAQs and social media graphics for your favorite Wartburg team or student group. Watch Wartburg's social media on Thursday for the giving link.

What is UKnight Day?

It is Wartburg's annual day of giving on which students, parents, faculty, staff, alumni, parents, students and community members come together to share what it means to be a Knight and support the Annual Fund, which provides for all sorts of activities at Wartburg.

How can I win VIP parking?

Faculty and staff donors on March 25 get one raffle ticket with a UKnight Day gift of any size (must select "Faculty/Staff" on the giving form). The drawing will be held the night of March 25. The raffle winner will work with Campus Security to select a reserved parking spot near their preferred building; winner will have reserved parking until the next UKnight Day in March 2022! Non-transferrable, vehicle must be registered with Security. Contact studentsuknight@wartburg.edu for details.

The orange bikes are back!

Thanks to recent warm temperatures and melting snow, bikes are now available for checkout at the Vogel Library. To borrow a bike, fill out a user agreement form if you haven’t yet this year. Checkout is for four hours, and bikes need to be returned by dark as they are not equipped to use at night. If a late snow happens, the bikes will be temporarily unavailable due to safety reasons. Stop by the library circulation desk on second floor if you have questions or to check one out and enjoy the fresh spring air with a bike ride!

Nominations for Baldwin Leadership Fellows

The Institute for Leadership Education at Wartburg seeks your assistance in the selection of first-year students to serve as Baldwin Leadership Fellows. The Baldwin Fellows will ideally come from diverse academic backgrounds and be passionate about leadership and service in the context of the Wartburg mission. The students nominated will then be contacted regarding the nomination and asked to complete an application if they are interested in this highly selective opportunity. Please contact Theresa Moore, Assistant Director of the Institute for Leadership Education, if you have any questions.
