The Juice - July 31

Plus, Fund the Fortress applications

July 31, 2020

Worth It Week details

The Admissions Office is planning a virtual Worth It Week for prospective students, with a session each day Sunday through Friday, Aug. 2-7. We will be broadcasting a live tour via Zoom for the hour time slots listed below. We want to share this information so you understand what is happening on campus if you see it. You don’t need to do anything different or special if you see this group in the hall, but you can say hello as you normally would if you came across an in-person tour. In fact, that’s highly encouraged, even if we can't see your smile through your face mask!

Here are the dates/times we will be on tour:

Sunday, Aug. 2: 6:15-7:15 p.m.
Monday, Aug. 3: 9:45-10:45 a.m.
Tuesday, Aug. 4: 1:45-2:45 p.m.
Wednesday, Aug. 5: 9:45-10:45 a.m.
Thursday, Aug. 6: 1:45-2:45 p.m.
Friday, Aug. 7: 9:45-10:45 a.m.

Fund the Fortress applications due Aug. 28

Fund the Fortress applications are now being accepted for Fall Term 2020. Fund the Fortress is Wartburg’s crowdfunding platform, which has raised over $200,000 for 25 unique projects over the last two years. Projects can vary in size and what they support. If you are unsure if your idea is right for a Fund the Fortress project, contact Rob Ruchotzke at 319-352-8512 or visit www.wartburg.edu/ftf to see all of the projects that have been supported. Applications can be submitted through this link. Please browse our FAQ section before filling out the form.

The Fall Term deadline for Fund the Fortress applications is Aug. 28; applications will be processed by the Advancement Crowdfunding Committee, with up to five projects being chosen for the fall.

The Juice is a weekly e-newsletter sent Mondays and other times as needed to communicate campus news and events. Most items will run twice, then continue to be available in the Information Center.

The deadline for submissions each week is 4 p.m. Thursday. Send items to juice@wartburg.edu. Please keep your submitted item short—no longer than one paragraph—and let us know if your item is for students, faculty/staff, or both audiences. Direct questions to Stephanie Boeding, editor and email marketing manager for Marketing & Communication, at ext. 8760 or via email. If you have an item that must run immediately, please contact the editor directly.
