Regular deliveries to staffed department offices will resume in July. Please contact the Mail Center regarding delivery preference and timeline for your office for the coming weeks. Department deliveries can be made through package lockers until Aug. 1. As large deliveries come in, deliveries to campus offices will take place throughout the day as needed to relieve volume. Please call or message the Mail Center before coming to pick up items to reduce an unnecessary trip. Mail Center summer window hours remain 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Please remember that not all offices are currently staffed, but the Mail Center has means of delivery to all offices and is a great alternative to “dropping off” items for offices that may be intermittently closed. Please direct other questions and concerns to Kory at kory.figura@wartburg.edu.

Wartburg's ITS will be doing an upgrade for the firewall, core switch and Nexus bundle on Thursday, July 23, beginning at 4 p.m. The project is expected to take two to four hours. Ballrooms used for student dining
|
Students begin returning to campus Aug. 9, and at that time both the Heritage and St. Elizabeth Rooms will be used exclusively for student dining as the space is necessary to allow for adequate social distancing. If you have any questions about this, please contact either Marty Johnson, director of dining services, or Jean Buckingham, interim events manager. If you have an event that is scheduled in either of these rooms during the Fall Term, please contact Jean to make other room arrangements.

Wartburg faculty Dr. Kelly Faga, Dr. Mike Bechtel, Dr. Maryam Rod Szabo and Dr. Stephanie TeKippe have published an article, "The 3CM Approach: A Pedagogy Based in Theory and Experience to Move beyond the 'What' into the 'How' toward a Pathway of Lifelong Learning and Teaching," in The International Journal of Pedagogy and Curriculum. The study explored teacher perceptions of strategies being utilized in schools, teacher training, professional development, strengths and weaknesses, and impact, with the aim of discovering a pathway of teacher development for life-long learning and effective teaching.
Dr. Stephanie Toering Peters, the Dr. Richard L. and Sandra K. Wahl Professor in Biology, participated in the virtual 2020 Genomics Education Partnership Alumni Workshop and Meeting.
