This is the time to confirm or adjust your Winter Term and/or May Term schedules and get to know your adviser. Reviewing your academic progress now can save time and headaches later. Takako Arai poetry reading and reception
|
Wartburg will host acclaimed Japanese poet Takako Arai for a dual-language poetry reading and reception Saturday, Nov. 2, 4-5:30 p.m., in the Hagemann Castle Room. Ms. Arai has published three poetry collections, including Tamashii Dansu ("Soul Dance"), which won the 2008 Oguma Hideo Prize. She teaches Japanese and poetry at Saitama University, and is currently a writer in residence at the University of Iowa's International Writing Program. Fall Term enrollment changes and effect on financial aid
|
Financial aid is based on enrollment. Fall term enrollment changes made before Nov. 4 will result in adjustments to financial aid for the term. Enrollment changes made on or after Nov. 4 will not result in a change in aid, except for Meistersinger Scholarships. Meistersinger requirements must be completed through the end of the term to retain the scholarship for the term.

Castle Jesters improv group

Starting soon, Castle Jesters is Wartburg’s student-led improv group! If you have a background in theater, acting, or lack any of that, then come to the interest meeting Thursday, Oct. 31, at 2 p.m. in the Clinton Hall Soenke Classroom. Eligibility reminders for grants
|
All institutional funds from Wartburg College require full-time enrollment (at least 3.0 course credits). Please note that Wartburg institutional funding is available for eight terms. The longevity of Wartburg institutional funding for transfer students will be prorated based on their class status upon enrollment.
Students who are Federal Pell Grant eligible must be enrolled in 3.5 course credits to receive the full consideration of the Federal Pell Grant. The Federal Pell Grant is prorated for enrollment less than 3.5 course credits.

Trumpet Festival concert Thursday

The Wartburg College Trumpet Festival concert will be Thursday, Oct. 31, at 7 p.m. in the Wartburg Chapel. Guest artists Amy Gilreath, Rolf Olson and Scott Olson will perform a number a pieces during the show. The Wartburg Trumpet Choir, under the direction of Dr. Scott Muntefering, will perform “Prelude from Water Music” by George Handel and “Sonata Sancti Polycarpi” by Heinrich Biber. Mail must have name and box number

The Mail Center would like to remind students, faculty, and staff to include name and box number or department when placing online orders. Multiple packages are received every week with no clear recipient, causing a delay or inability to deliver those items. Those persons with overdue or missing packages are encouraged to contact the Mail Center with the tracking number of the missing item to determine whether it was delivered without a name.
