Wartburg College Democrats will host Presidential candidate Beto O'Rourke on Tuesday, May 7, at 1:45 p.m. in the Castle Room. O’Rourke is traveling to towns and cities across America to introduce himself and hear from students (like you) about the ways we can move the country forward. May Day of Service on Tuesday
|
The annual May Day of Service will be Tuesday, May 7. Choose from two times: in the morning from 10 to 11:30 a.m. or in the afternoon from 1 to 2:30 p.m. We will be working with Maintenance to plant flowers around campus, as well as doing some cleanup to prepare for a beautiful spring into summer. Anyone who signs up and volunteers on this day will receive a VAC T-shirt. Later in the afternoon, we will have cool cookies, chalk and lawn games on the campus mall. Please click here to sign up. S.A.F.E. Color Run 5K on May 18

S.A.F.E (Suicide Awareness For Everyone) is hosting its fourth annual Stampede the Stigma color run on Saturday, May 18. Registration begins at 9 a.m. and the race will begin at 10 a.m. The rain date is scheduled for Sunday, May 19, at 11 a.m. Don't want to run or walk? Volunteers are needed! End-of-year shuttle rides

The end of year student shuttles will be departing for Waterloo, Cedar Rapids, Chicago, Minneapolis and Des Moines on Friday, May 24. Remember to sign up before May 17 to guarantee your spot. Online summer course registration

Registration for online summer courses is due prior to Monday, May 27. On May 27, courses will be canceled if under-enrolled (minimum of six students who do not qualify for tuition remission).

The final weekly Juice of the term will be May 20. |

The Juice will publish intermittently through the summer as needed, about every other week for the Faculty/Staff edition. |

Weekly Juice emails will begin again Monday, Aug. 26, just before the start of Fall Term. |

Adams Parkway bridge closure begins May 6
|
The Adams Parkway Bridge in Waverly (north of Nestle’s and Waverly Utilities) will be completely closed to vehicles and pedestrians for about two months starting May 6. Cedar Lane will be the detour route. Click here for details and a map.

Sanctuary on Wednesday nights

Sanctuary will meet each week of May Term on Wednesday nights in Chapel Commons (basement). Come at 8:45 p.m. for treats and fellowship, and stay for a relaxed time of Bible study, fellowship, worship band music, prayers, and communion.
