St. Elizabeth Bread Basket hours

St. Elizabeth Bread Basket is a new program with the Northeast Iowa Food Bank that makes food options available to students for free during breaks when campus dining locations are closed or limited. Visit SEBB for food pantry items in the Student Life Office, first floor of Saemann Student Center, during these hours:
Thursday, April 18: Noon-4:30 p.m.
Friday, April 19: 10-11 a.m.*
Saturday, April 20: 2-4 p.m.*
Sunday, April 21: CLOSED
Monday, April 22: 1-3 p.m.*
Tuesday, April 23, to Friday, April 26: 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Saturday, April 27, and Sunday, April 28: CLOSED
*On these dates, SEBB may be accessed by going to the Campus Security office.

Incomplete grade information
|
Please remind students that an incomplete grade is not valid unless it is supported by a Student Request for Incomplete Grade Form. The completion of the form should be initiated by the student to confirm that the student and instructor have been in communication regarding the incomplete grade policy. The form is available on MyWartburg or in the Registrar’s Office. Any incomplete grade submitted by the instructor without support of the form will be changed to any “F.” Please refer students to the incomplete grade definition in the 2018-19 academic catalog, which can be accessed online. Incomplete grades should only be issued for students who are passing the course when final grades are due. With permission from the Registrar, instructors can complete the form for a student whose circumstances prevent them from submitting the form.

Personnel Advisory Committee voting results

The Personnel Advisory Committee thanks all of the nominees who were willing serve on the PAC. The results were very close with 125 employees voting! The support staff seat went to Kory Figura, and the administrative seat went to Tony PeterSmith. Their terms begin June 1. A special thank you to Wendy Mohlis and Renee Voves, who have graciously served on the PAC for several years. Their participation on the PAC was a wonderful representation of all Wartburg staff members. As always, please contact any PAC member if you have a concern, question, or an agenda item to be discussed.

Try the TriByKnight triathlon
|
The TriByKnight Triathlon, now in its eighth year, is one of the most popular early season events in the region. This USAT-sanctioned sprint tri (300-yard swim, 15-mile bike, 3.1-mile run) is perfect for those just getting started in the sport and is staged on the Wartburg College campus Saturday, May 4. Dance Marathon smashes fundraising goal
|
Wartburg College Dance Marathon would like to thank Wartburg students, faculty, and staff for supporting our mission. This year WCDM crushed its goal of $130,000 and raised a total of $153,307.11 for the kids at the UI Stead Family Children's Hospital in Iowa City. Students compete in Values and Ventures Business Plan Competition
|
Wartburg students Haley Harms, Liam Conroy, Jackie Falconer, Ashlee Henderson, and Alison Rusch competed as finalists in the Neeley Entrepreneurship Center Values and Ventures® Business Plan Competition at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas, April 5-6. The team developed its business plan under the guidance of Dr. Allan Bernard, assistant professor of business administration. Jeff Martinelli mentored the members and Wartburg alumnus and Board of Regents member Michael Murphy ’89 sponsored the team.

Dining hours during Tour Week and Easter
|
For the Dining Services hours during Tour Week and Easter weekend, please click here. During Tour Week, students will not be able to use their meal plans if staying on campus, and there will be no meal transfers. The first meal in Mensa after break will be Sunday evening, April 28.

Juice publishing schedule for end of the term

Please make note of the Juice email publishing schedule through the end of the academic year:

No Monday Juice the week of April 22 due to Tour Week. |

The final weekly Juice of the term will be May 20. |
• |
The Juice will publish intermittently through the summer as needed, about every other week for the Faculty/Staff edition. |

Weekly Juice emails will begin again Monday, Aug. 26, just before the start of Fall Term. |

The Knight Reading (common read) for Fall 2019 is Glimmer of Hope, written by the students from Parkland, Florida, and founders of March for Our Lives. This year, students will read this text during the Fall Term in IS 101.
