SPIRITUAL LIFE & CAMPUS MINISTRY

Homecoming Worship on Sunday — The Rev. Larry Trachte ’66, professor emeritus of religion and campus pastor (1974-2009), will give the message at the service, which begins at 10 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 16, in Neumann Auditorium. Join alumni, students, faculty, and friends as the Wartburg ensembles and the organ lead us in an enhanced liturgical celebration with Holy Communion.

Weekday Chapel Services — Weekday services are held 10:15-10:35 a.m. each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday in Wartburg Chapel and are a brief opportunity to gather with students, staff, and faculty to reflect on God and faith. They are led by students, faculty, staff, the college pastors, and clergy from area churches. Upcoming messages will be given by:

  • Monday, Oct. 10 –– Donald Meyer, director of development
  • Wednesday, Oct. 12 –– Carly Kuhtz ’17; music by the Wartburg Choir
  • Friday, Oct. 14 –– Barbara Gamez ’98, Alumni Board president, Board of Regents

Faith and Life Groups are opportunities for students to share fellowship with other believers. There are multiple groups taking place at different times, places, and locations on campus. Click here for more information.

Sanctuary — Sanctuary is a holy space in the midst of your busy life where you can recharge and renew. Expect a relaxed time of Bible study, fellowship, worship band music, prayers, and communion. Sanctuary takes place at 9 p.m. each Wednesday evening in the Chapel Commons (basement). Come at 8:45 for snacks and fellowship.
