Campus to transition from Zoom to Teams
|
Wartburg will discontinue its sitewide Zoom license and transition primarily to Microsoft Teams effective July 9. This transition will save the college more than $30,000 in the coming year without causing any major interruptions to service.
All employees and students will continue to have access to basic Zoom functions, including hosting meetings up to 40 minutes in length and recording meetings to their computer. Longer meetings should be scheduled on Teams to ensure they can be completed without interruption. Teams meetings also can be recorded and saved to the cloud.
Those interested in learning more about the capabilities of Sharepoint and Teams, including the virtual meeting functions, can attend a training hosted by ITS at 10 a.m. July 10 or 1 p.m. July 17. Please register so the team is properly prepared. If you encounter any issues during the transition, please contact ITS at 319-352-8767 or submit a ticket.
