Apply now for student loan debt relief
|
The federal Student Loan Debt Relief application is available and takes less than a minute to complete. If you have an outstanding balance on a federal loan you took out before July 2022, you could qualify for up to $10,000 in relief. If you're a recipient of a Pell Grant, you may qualify for up to $20,000.
You only need to provide your name, Social Security number, date of birth, phone number, and email address, then confirm you fall into one of the eligible income categories and submit your application.
The Department of Education will determine your eligibility and will contact you if they need more information. Your loan servicer will notify you when your relief is processed. Beware of scams: Only work with your federal loan servicer and never pay any fees.
