Culture Week features special meals, Culture Show

Culture Week, presented by I-Club, begins today and runs through Saturday, May 7. Events throughout the week will celebrate different continents, and there will be a special meal each day. The week wraps up with the Culture Show at 5:30 p.m. May 7 in Neumann Auditorium.

Submissions open for Fund the Fortress
|
Applications are now open for Fund the Fortress for the 2022-23 academic year. Fund the Fortress is a series of public crowdfunding campaigns designed to accomplish smaller projects quickly. If you have a project that advances the Wartburg mission and vision but needs funding, submit it for consideration by Wednesday, June 15. If you applied previously but were not chosen, you can use your prior application or submit a new one.

Reception set for Huebner retirement
|
Janet Huebner, the manager of the Wartburg Store, is retiring, and her last day is today. Stop by the Wartburg Store between 12:30 and 2:30 p.m. for an open house to wish her well.

Wartburg Alert test set May 7
|
A Wartburg Alert test is scheduled Saturday, May 7. If you are not registered for Wartburg Alert, sign up today through the Information Center to receive emergency notifications.

Employees eligible for master’s degree discount
|
Applications are still open for the Master of Arts in Leadership program as it transitions to a fall start. Benefits-eligible employees, their spouses, and their children are now eligible for a 20 percent discount on tuition. The employee must remain at Wartburg while the discount is received. Please note this is a taxable benefit for the employee if the recipient is not a dependent for tax purposes.

Leadership camp offered this summer

Current high school juniors are eligible for the Summer Leadership & Service Summit, a weeklong leadership camp at Wartburg. Attendees gain college credit and skills for life. Encourage students you know to apply by Friday, May 6, to receive $100 off registration.

Celebrate the coming improvements to Vollmer Hall and learn more about the Centennial Complex Challenge from 5-7 p.m. Monday, May 2, in the Centennial Complex Courtyard. The event will include:

Food trucks with a $5 voucher for students |

Smash booth (break plates and de-stress) |
