Mail forwarding for returning students
|
Mail forwarding for returning students will cease Monday, Aug. 2. Packages and mail received for the month of August will remain held on campus at the Mail Center for students to pick up as they return. This is to prevent forwarding of textbooks and other shipped goods intended for campus use, and work with the average forwarding transit times. Please contact the Mail Center at mailroom@wartburg.edu with questions and concerns. Students not returning to campus should complete the mail forwarding form at this link.

College joins White House vaccine challenge
|
The College has accepted President Joe Biden’s invitation for colleges and universities to join him in the White House’s efforts to end the COVID-19 pandemic by encouraging vaccination for all eligible individuals.
By accepting this challenge, college administrators agree to:
• |
Engage every student, faculty and staff member by ensuring that every member of the campus community knows they are eligible for the vaccine and has the resources to find one. |
• |
Organize the campus community by identifying champions for vaccine efforts across campus and implementing a plan to get as many members of the college community vaccinated as possible. |
• |
Deliver vaccine access to all by bringing vaccines to campus, making it easy for students, staff and faculty to get vaccinated. |
Though the college is just now accepting this challenge, these priorities have been at the forefront Wartburg’s COVID-19 response since the vaccine became available. Click here to learn more.
In an email recently, Dean Dan Kittle encouraged students to become fully vaccinated before returning to campus for Fall Term. Students who are unvaccinated Sept. 1:
• |
Will be strongly encouraged to wear a mask on campus. |
• |
Must quarantine for 7 to 10 days following contact with an individual who has tested positive for COVID-19. |
• |
Could be required to partake in regular COVID-19 testing if college leaders deem it necessary to continue safely with campus activities because of an increase in the number of cases in the community or on campus, or because of the emergence of more troublesome variants. |
