Dr. Paula Survilla Celebration of Life service

The Wartburg College Department of Music will host a Celebration of Life service for Dr. Paula Survilla on Saturday, April 24, at 10 a.m. in Neumann Auditorium. This is a ticketed event open to current Wartburg faculty, staff, and students. Admission is free, but limited to 250 guests, in accordance with current social distance guidelines. Pick up your free ticket at the music office in the Bachman Fine Arts Center, FAC 118. Masks are required for all participants, even if fully vaccinated. Wartburg community members and the general public may also watch the service live via Knight Vision.

Living Classroom project to honor Paula

Dr. Penni Pier and Dr. Mike Bechtel have launched a Fund the Fortress campaign to honor Dr. Paula Survilla. As we approach the one-year anniversary of Paula’s passing, the college plans to create the Paula Survilla Living Classroom. In order to complete this project, we need your help to reach our goal of $13,000. Your gift will support an outdoor classroom in the McElroy Center courtyard where faculty, students, and staff will connect with nature while engaging in meaningful learning opportunities. Learn more about the project and make a gift of any size at this link. Drs. Pier and Bechtel are doing a 1:1 match, up to $500, for any new donor to the college.
