The Juice (Student) - Oct. 29

Oct. 29, 2018
Holiday celebrations this week

Monster Bash: Come and help Saemann Student Center Council and Dining Services celebrate Halloween by dressing as your favorite character at the Monster Bash on Tuesday, Oct. 30, from 5 to 7 p.m. in Mensa. There are prizes for first, second and third place in the costume contest. The meal will feature spooky Halloween music, Zombie Punch, and Dirt Dessert. You can also decorate your own cookie! If you have questions, contact Shelly Geweke.

Day of the Dead celebration: Come join our school-wide Day of the Dead celebration from Oct. 31 through Nov. 2 in the Lilly Reflection Room on the second floor of Saemann Student Center. The Day of the Dead (Dia De Muertos) is the Mexican holiday focused on the gatherings of friends and family to pray for and remember those friends and family that have passed and help them on their way to the land of the dead. Please bring photocopies of your deceased relatives to place on our community Ofrenda to remember them as well as their favorite food or drinks for them to enjoy in the afterlife. This event is open to anyone who would like to participate in this cultural experience. If you have any questions, there will be a booth outside of the Lilly Reflection Room.
