The Orange Connection is a career mentoring experience designed to allow you to connect and/or “shadow” with Wartburg alumni in metropolitan areas. This is a great opportunity to learn more about a specific occupation or line of work you might be interested in.  

You will travel with other students to observe your mentor in their everyday work environment. You will have the opportunity to ask questions about the knowledge, skills, talents, and level of education required for the job, as well as learn about the important responsibilities and tasks associated with your mentor's position. While the purpose of the Orange Connection is to gather career-related information and expand your network, it also allows you to build your interviewing skills, become aware of trends in the field, and see workforce technologies in action.

Participating in the Orange Connection will:

  • Discover information about potential majors and minors at Wartburg.
  • Gain essential insight on certain occupations and careers.
  • Experience what it's like to work in a large metropolitan area.
  • Learn how to successfully balance your personal and professional life.
  • Connect with alumni and learn about how they have been impacted by their Wartburg experiences.

All travel, lodging, most meals, and a ticket to a performance are covered by program fees. If you withdraw from the program after March 13th, you will be charged a $100 fee.
