PREVIOUS ANNOUNCEMENTS

Incomplete grade deadline

Students with incomplete grades for Fall 2020 courses must submit all course work to instructors by Monday, Feb. 15, 2021. Instructors must submit grade changes for incomplete grades to the Registrar’s Office by Monday, Feb. 22. If a grade change is not submitted by the deadline, the incomplete grade will be changed to an “F,” which will then be computed into the student’s cumulative grade point average.

VAC & Lifeserve to host blood drive Feb. 16

The Wartburg Volunteer Action Center (VAC) with Lifeserve will host a blood drive on Tuesday, Feb. 16, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Cardinal Commons. Appointments are required at this link. Every blood donor receives a health screening at their donation, finds out their blood type, and will be tested for COVID-19 antibodies to help our state health department understand the virus and identify more convalescent plasma donors.

Personal property insurance coverage

In the wake of an incident on campus where the personal property of an employee was damaged, the College wants to remind all employees to ensure that their personal insurance policies (through homeowner’s, renter’s, or another form of insurance) can adequately cover all personal property that is kept on campus, whether in a personal office or another space. The College does have a limited insurance policy that can cover the personal property of others, but it is not guaranteed to cover all damages should an incident occur.

Chalk & Wire resources

Wartburg is using the cloud-based assessment management system called Chalk & Wire, which we use to evaluate student learning outcomes. The system also provides students with access to ePortfolios, which can used to collect a wide variety of information and media for later use by the studetns as they move forward after graduation. The 2020-21 academic year marks the second year of the implementation process.

If you need help at any time, please use chalk.wire@wartburg.edu to contact the Chalk & Wire Implementation Team for assistance. The use of this email account will ensure they can respond in a timely manner to your request. Chalk & Wire resources for faculty and students are available on the Resources tab of My.Wartburg. Users must be logged in to access the page.
