Satellite voting and voter registration available Thursday on campus

Satellite voting will be open Thursday, Oct. 15, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the McCaskey Lyceum on the first floor of Saemann Student Center.

Anyone registered in Bremer County can vote.
Voter registration forms will be available for new registrations and if you wish to change a registration from your previous county or home voting location.
Students should register using this address:

         100 Wartburg Blvd, Box #, Dorm Name

         Waverly, IA 50677

What to bring:

1. A government-issued ID (must be one of the following):
Iowa Driver’s License
Iowa Non-operator ID
Out-of-state Driver’s License
U.S. Passport
U.S. Military ID or Veteran ID
Iowa Voter Identification Card
Tribal ID Card/Document

 

2. Proof of residence

Proof of residence letters have been placed in all on-campus student mailboxes
Students who live off-campus should stop into the Student Life office to obtain a proof of residence letter or bring one of the following that lists their name and current address in Waverly:

    Paystub

    Utility bill

    Cell phone bill

    Bank statement

    Residential lease (your name must be on the lease)

 

Anyone with questions should stop into the Student Life Office in Saemann Student Center or contact Kristin Teig Torres.

Mensa Night free Thursday for students with no board plan

All students are invited to enjoy Mensa Knight from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, in Mensa! This Homecoming Week event will feature special food, prizes and music. Students who don't have a board plan are welcome to eat in Mensa for free Thursday during the event — just let the Dining Services staff at the entrance know you are there for Mensa Knight. The menu includes the winners of last week's Instagram poll: Macaroni & Cheese Bar, Chicken Corn Chowder and Brownie Goop! If you have any questions, please email linzy.solberg@wartburg.edu.

Get ready for Fall Festival on Friday

Homecoming Committee and ETK will present the Wartburg Student Fall Festival on Friday, Oct. 16, from 4 to 7:30 p.m. on the campus lawn. All students are invited to enjoy a fall evening as a community! Activities include pumpkin painting, writing letters home, yard games, photo booth and tasty treats (including s'mores).
The evening's featured event will be the first-ever Kastle Kapers Unplugged on stage in front of Old Main. Bring a blanket or chair to enjoy the show from 4 to 6:30. Questions? Contact Homecoming@wartburg.edu.

 

P.S. Homecoming t-shirts are on sale for $10 at the entrance of Saemann Student Center from 5 to 7 p.m. the rest of this week and during lunch on Thursday. While supplies last!
