Friendship Families needed for international students |
The International Student Services office is seeking friendship families for approximately 35 new international students arriving at the end of August. Friendship families do not house or act as advisers or financial sponsors to the students. They simply meet with their student(s) throughout the year to share meals, holidays, or participate in a variety of cultural activities. For more information, contact Wendy at ext. 8745 or wendy.mohlis@wartburg.edu. You may also click here to sign up online. |

Fall Orientation program updates |
To improve communication to incoming students and families, orientation at Wartburg will now be called Fall Orientation instead of Orange EXCELeration. Please help the Student Life Office by referring to the program as such. Additionally, move-in for first-year students will be Saturday, Aug. 25, starting at 8 a.m. (instead of a Friday move-in, as in previous years). The full orientation schedule, along with our FY resources, can be found at www.wartburg.edu/orientation. Direct any questions/comments to Lindsey Leonard. |

Check rate to refinance student loan debt |
Are you repaying student loans for your own education or your child’s college years? Our benefits partner has improved its student loan refinancing program to make it easier for you to find out the rates you can receive by refinancing with a Reset Loan, and reduced their rates across the board. Click here, enter a little bit of personal information on the Get My Rate page and in less than a minute you will find out what rates you would receive if you refinance. Completing this step does not impact your credit score or obligate you to apply, and it can help you easily determine if refinancing will get you a lower rate than what you’re paying now. If you have questions, please contact Amy Wilson, benefits administrator at ext. 8278. |
