| The SLCM pastors and staff would like to honor all retirees and employees who will not be returning in the Fall of 2018 for your work as we gather to thank God for you. | Meet candidates for Dean of Spiritual Life |
Pastor Dirk Stadtlander will be on campus interviewing for the Dean of Spiritual Life position on Wednesday, April 4. The campus community is invited to participate in the following ways:
- Preaching Demonstration – Chapel service, 10:15-10:35 a.m. in Wartburg Chapel
Teaching Demonstration – 11:05-11:50 a.m. in SC 128 – teaching lesson for IS 101 on Faith and Learning in simulating a classroom environment
- Student Lunch – 12-1 p.m. Students may join the candidate by eating your Mensa lunch in the St. Elizabeth Room.
- Student Interfaith Conversations – 1:45-2:30 p.m. in Chapel Commons. To specifically engage in conversation students who do not identify as Christian. The Dean of Spiritual Life serves you as well.
- Community Open Forum – 3:30-4:30 p.m., Chapel Commons. All members of the community are invited for an informal conversation with the candidate.

Pastor Brian Beckstrom will be interviewing on April 11, and the campus community is invited to participate in similar sessions with him as well. Please contact LeAnn Faidley with questions. | Summer storage for out-of-state students |
| The Student Life Office is piloting a summer storage program for returning out-of-state students. Many of these students have difficulty transporting large items home over the summer or must pay high self-storage fees at local facilities. If you have extra room in your home or garage and would be willing to store items for a few of our students, email Jennifer Onuigbo or stop by Student Life for more information. |

Paris Hare ’13, an analyst programmer for Mayo Clinic, will discuss his early career in a presentation titled How to Survive the First Five Years as a Software Developer. All are welcome. | The next meeting of the Wartburg Philosophical and Literary Society will be Friday, April 6, at 4 p.m., in McCoy West. The speakers are both fourth-year psychology majors. The title of Morgan Riedesel’s presentation is Students’ Evaluation of Articles: The Possibility of a Gender Bias. The title of Kierstin Keller’s presentation is Influences on STEM Interest Among Middle School and College Students. All are welcome. |

| Retired bishop to visit Wartburg |
Wartburg College and the Northeastern Iowa Synod will host Bishop Munib Younan, bishop emeriti of the Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Holy Land and past president of the Lutheran World Federation. The following events are planned:
- Thursday, April 5, 4 p.m., Loving God & Neighbor: Living Out the Biblical Call in the Holy Land, McCaskey Lyceum. The presentation will be followed by a reception in honor of Bishop Younan in the Castle Room.
- Friday, April 6, 5:30-6:45 p.m., dinner honoring Bishop Younan, Castle Room, RSVP required. Following dinner, Bishop Younan will speak from 7-8:15 p.m. in the Chapel. This address is open to the public, and you do not have to attend the dinner to participate in the presentation. There will be time for Q&A.

| Enlightenment Week at Wartburg |
Enlightenment Week is dedicated to shedding light on autism and those on the spectrum. If you are a future educator, occupational therapist, speech pathologist, music therapist, or anyone who might work with individuals on the spectrum in your career, this week is for your enlightenment. Check out the list of events below.
- Tuesday, April 3: Dorm Storm at 7 p.m. for the Autism Society of Iowa; wear blue throughout the day.
- Wednesday, April 4: Movie night with cupcakes at 7 p.m. in the Clinton Hall basement.
- Thursday, April 5: Panel of professionals at 7 p.m. in Grossman 131. See how people in your future field work with those on the spectrum.
- Friday, April 6: Sensory-friendly game night with Best Buddies at 7:30 p.m. in Cardinal Commons.

| All are welcome to attend a retirement celebration for Pastor Ramona Bouzard on Monday, April 16, at 3:30 p.m., in the Chapel. We will gather to sing PR’s favorite hymns and follow up with ice cream sundaes, cookies and lemonade till 5 p.m. |
