Research shows that if students know someone who shares this status, they may ask that person for help, and you can then connect the student with appropriate resources such as an academic adviser, Financial Aid, the registrar, Academic Resource Center, etc. If you were a first-generation college student — defined as someone whose parents/guardians did not earn a four-year degree — you can register for a sticker or door placard to identify yourself as such to students. Please sign up by Monday, March 18. Opportunities for professional development in this area will be provided in the fall. ABOUT THIS EMAIL The Juice is a weekly newsletter sent Mondays and other times as needed to communicate campus news and events.
