Flu shots offered on campus
|
The on-site flu shot clinic will be available from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m Wednesday, Oct. 11, and Thursday, Oct. 12, in the Neumann Auditorium lobby. The shots are covered in full for employees and spouses on the Wartburg health insurance plan. Those who are not covered by Wartburg insurance can pay out of pocket or check with their insurance carriers. Please email hr@wartburg.edu and indicate which day you plan to attend. Please bring your HealthPartners health insurance ID card so the claim can be filed.
If these times do not work with your schedule, you may visit an in-network pharmacy or provider with HealthPartners to administer your flu shot at no cost. Depending on your provider, you may be charged for an office visit.

Work with a team of students to provide live video streaming of campus events, sports, music, news, and more. Many roles available, including camera operators, producers, graphic designers, reporters/announcers, and engineers.
Math Lab Consultant, Academic Resource Center
Share your mathematical skills with other students by assisting them with course-related questions and providing helpful resources.
Women’s Basketball Student Manager, Athletics Department
Show support for the women’s basketball team by assisting with practice drills, tracking statistics, and maintaining gear/uniforms.

Dr. Karen Black is now president-elect of the Association of Lutheran Church Musicians, a pan-Lutheran national professional organization dedicated to strengthening the ministry of music in the Lutheran church. Dr. Black will serve two years as president-elect, followed by three years as president. |

Dr. Abbylynn Helgevold, assistant professor of religion, in collaboration with Andy Hansen, lead teacher from Lou Henry Elementary School in Waterloo, and Angela Waseskuk, local Cedar Valley artist and former instructor of art at the University of Northern Iowa, developed and presented a workshop entitled "Nurturing Inclusion and Collaborative Creativity in the Pursuit of Positive Peace" for the Annual Meeting of the Peace and Justice Studies Association held at Iowa State University from Sept. 15-17. The workshop explored the value of engaging with the arts to develop and maintain inclusive environments. |

The men's bowling program is looking for additional bowlers for the 2023-24 season. Practices are held Tuesday through Thursday at the Waverly Bowl Inn, and there are 10 competition events from October to February, with the postseason beginning in March. Faculty and staff are invited to help serve breakfast to students on Outfly morning. Volunteers need to report to Mensa by 6:50 a.m. that morning. Campus is notified of Outfly via the Wartburg Alert System during the early hours of Outfly morning, whenever that may be. The Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) is a personal development club that has a different guest speaker every week covering topics such as their business, PR, marketing, and advertising. It is a great way to network and figure out internships or potential jobs after graduation.
