Storage available for out-of-state students
|
Students with home addresses out of state may store their items at a college property within walking distance from campus. Register in the Student Success Center no later than Friday, May 19, to reserve space. Move-in times will be from 2 to 4 p.m. May 22-26. Each of your items must be labeled. Please note that pickup in September will not be available Friday afternoons or Saturdays, and all items will need to be moved out by Sept. 15. There are open student worker positions across campus, including these three roles for the upcoming summer:

Operations & Maintenance Student Facilities Technician: Apply as an individual or gather your friends to apply as a team! O&M is seeking to hire and develop teams of students to help prepare and clean dormitories and academic buildings after camps, conventions, and events as well as perform floor restoration tasks. Students will be paid $13 per hour. |
• |
Dining Services Crew Member: Dining Services is seeking students who are motivated and have great customer service skills to join our team of workers in the Zesty Orange and Mensa. Crew members will be paid $12 per hour and student managers will be paid $13 per hour. All dining student employees will receive a free meal during their shifts. |
• |
Vogel Library Circulation Desk Assistants & ELITE Consultants: Vogel library is seeking students to provide the first line of customer service at the circulation desk and provide technical support to patrons using library technology as a part of our ELITE team. |

Study abroad scholarships available for Pell Grant recipients

If you receive a Pell Grant as part of your financial aid package, you are eligible to apply for a Gilman International Scholarship for up to $5,000 toward a study abroad semester or international May Term travel course. Two Wartburg College faculty have articles published in the spring 2023 issue of Intersections, the journal of the Network of ELCA Colleges and Universities. Dr. Abbylynn Helgevold, assistant professor of religion and the Board of Regents Distinguished Professor in Ethics, wrote "Take Heart: Is Neutrality Really What We Need Right Now?" Dr. Caryn D. Riswold, professor of religion and the Mike & Marge McCoy Family Distinguished Chair in Lutheran Heritage and Mission, co-wrote "Views on Flourishing After the Age of Roe" with Dr. Mary J. Streufert. |
