Students, a reminder that Winter Term balances were due Feb. 10, and May Term balances are due March 10. Your account balance must be $2,500 or less to register for classes for the 2023-24 academic year; registration begins March 13. If you have a monthly payment plan and your payments are current, you will be cleared to register. If you need to explore payment options, schedule a time to meet with the Financial Aid Office or Business Office.

Esports team headed to new home
|
Classroom Technology Center rooms 200 and 201 are being remodeled as a new practice and competition space for our esports teams. The work, funded by gifts from donors, has already started and is anticipated to be complete by the end of July. Be sure to check out the team; all their competitions are livestreamed on Knight Vision.

ITS Techline changes hours, availability
|
Effective today, the main ITS office will close at 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday and will be closed Sunday. However, student workers will be available at Vogel Library to assist with urgent IT-related issues from 4 p.m. to close Sunday and from 7 p.m. to close Monday through Thursday. Self-Defense for Girls and Women

This course will be taught in two sessions, with the second session on March 27. Attendees will learn simple, effective skills that may help you prevent or survive an assault. Participants also will learn awareness, assertiveness, safety strategies, and how to use simple techniques on vulnerable areas of the body. The class will be taught by Joe Edwards, and the cost is $30.

‘Monumental Mysteries’ Artist Talk & Gallery Reception

The exhibition “Monumental Mysteries” by Robert Kennon is on display through March 24. Kennon explores the prehistoric monoliths, megaliths, memoirs, dolmens, and henges through sketches made during numerous trips to England. Our sympathies to the family and friends of the Rev. Bob Gremmels, who died Feb. 28 at age 94. Gremmels was the great-great-grandson of Wartburg founder Georg Grossmann, and he graduated from Wartburg in 1952. Gremmels later returned to the college as staff in 1960, became an assistant professor of journalism in 1972, and retired in 1994. He was awarded an Alumni Citation in 1970 and the Wartburg Medal in 2014. Services are at 1:30 p.m. today in the Chapel. See the full obituary.

Help Desk Consultation I, ITS
This position is responsible for first level technical support. Students will create help desk tickets and perform daily computer lab checks.
Circulation Desk Assistant I, Vogel Library
This position is responsible for welcoming visitors to the library and providing the first line of customer service at the circulation desk. Additionally, students will assist in maintaining the library collection and help make the library's spaces and services inclusive.

Additionally, students Bert Cortez '25, Izzy Gomes '25, Mia Lopez '26, Jennifer Miranda '23, and Zee Naba '26 attended the conference. Dr. LeAnn Faidley and Dr. Michaeleen Golay accompanied students. Sessions on inclusive mentoring, preparing for graduate programs, and alumni panels provided professional development and community building for students and faculty.
