New gallery exhibit documents climate change
|
“Where It Used to Be Blue” by Rachel Moser is now on display in the Waldemar A. Schmidt Art Gallery. Moser’s work is an ongoing study of climate change and humans’ impact on the planet. This exhibition, which includes video and sound, is a result of Moser’s 2019 research expeditions where she witnessed the blue glaciers of the Arctic turning into rubble and soot and the surrounding remote islands being polluted with plastic.
A closing reception and gallery talk with the artist will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on the final day of the exhibit, Dec. 15. The gallery is open 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.
