Needing a new professional photo?

Faculty and staff who are new to Wartburg, or who just want to update their college headshot, should contact Julie Drewes, visual media manager, about getting a portrait taken after 3 p.m. today (Jan. 5) or to set up a time for Tuesday, Jan. 12 (appointments are required).

Meet author at book club meeting Jan. 28

Join the Wartburg College Book Club for a virtual conversation with Chris Stedman, author of “IRL: Finding Realness, Meaning, and Belonging in Our Digital Lives,” on Thursday, Jan. 28, at 5 p.m. CST. This meeting will be hosted via Zoom and provides a space to ask Stedman questions about his research into how we can understand what it means to be “real” in both digital and physical spaces today. For more information, like where you can purchase the book and how to join the ongoing Facebook conversations, visit www.wartburg.edu/book-club. All are invited to join. New exhibit in art gallery

In the new exhibit "Dictators and Dreamers," artists Jennifer Lynn Bates and Lindsay Buehler contrast the faces of current or recent absolute rulers of countries around the world with the faces of immigrants, refugees, international students, and asylum seekers now residing in the Cedar Valley.
"Dictators and Dreamers" will be on display at the Waldemar A. Schmidt Art Gallery, on the first floor of Bachman Fine Arts Center, from Jan. 6 to Feb. 21. Gallery hours are 9 a.m.-7 p.m. daily, and admission is free. Patrons are required to wear masks in the gallery and practice physical distancing. Click here for gallery details.
