The Juice (Faculty/Staff) - Sept. 3

Plus, mail info for Labor Day 📦

Sept. 3, 2020

Help needed for student meal deliveries

Wartburg Security needs your help delivering meals to students in quarantine or isolation. Use this link to sign up for a time slot for lunch or supper; volunteers are especially needed over the weekend and into next week. Volunteers should meet at the Security Office and be prepared to volunteer for at least 30 minutes (please make a note in the comment section if you can't be there the whole time). Don’t forget your mask! Thank you to everyone willing to volunteer and help the Wartburg community! Contact the Volunteer Action Center with questions.

Package pickup around Labor Day

Monday, Sept. 7, is Labor Day and there is no mail or courier delivery. The Mail Center will still be open for package pickup, but any packages reaching the Post Office or courier after Friday, Sept. 4, will not be available until Tuesday. The Mail Center thanks everyone for their patience these few weeks. Students, please remember to email mailroom@wartburg.edu if someone other than a staff member will be picking up for you.

Updated COVID-19 protocol for Business, Financial Aid, Student Employment offices

Beginning Monday, Sept. 7, the Business, Financial Aid, and Student Employment offices will once again be open to walk-in traffic. Customers are welcome to enter; however, during regular business hours (8:30 a.m.-4 p.m.) no more than three people will be allowed in the front lobby at once. Business Office staff are available by phone at 319-352-8411 or email businessoffice@wartburg.edu, Financial Aid Office staff are available at 319-352-8262 or finaid@wartburg.edu, and the Student Employment Office staff are at 319-352-8350 studentemployment@wartburg.edu. We will continue to evaluate our customer service and COVID-19 protocol to ensure the safety of our customers and staff.

The Juice is a weekly e-newsletter sent Mondays and occasionally during the week as needed to communicate campus news and events. Most items will run twice, then continue to be available in the Information Center.

The deadline for submissions each week is 4 p.m. Thursday. Send items to juice@wartburg.edu. Please keep your submitted item short—no longer than one paragraph—and let us know if your item is for students, faculty/staff, or both audiences. Direct questions to Stephanie Boeding, editor and email marketing manager for Marketing & Communication, at ext. 8760 or via email. If you have a breaking news item that needs to run immediately, please contact the editor via phone or email.
