Community anti-racism prayer vigil
|
Coach Marcus Newsom invites the community to a prayer vigil on Wednesday, June 17, at 6 p.m. at Kohlmann Park in Waverly. It will begin with remarks from Coach Newsom followed by silent prayer for 8 minutes and 46 seconds. Places to safely stand will be marked as we are asking everyone to engage in social distancing. Please also wear a mask to keep our neighbors safe. The prayer vigil will be live-streamed at www.stpaulswaverly.org and made available on the St. Paul's YouTube channel.

Face mask design contest deadline is Monday
|
As we prepare to reopen campus in the fall, the college plans to provide a free mask to all students, faculty and staff to reduce the risk of spreading the coronavirus. The campus recovery committee is asking students and alumni to submit two-color design ideas for these masks using the theme “Knights Care.”
If you understand graphic design, please send an outlined version in EPS format. If you aren’t a graphic designer, that’s OK. Download the template pictured here, draw your design, and send in a photo. The Marketing & Communication Office will make changes and work with the winner to ensure it can be made into masks. Designs are due Monday, June 15, to chris.knudson@wartburg.edu.
