Dining Service hours during Tour Week break

Board plan dining is not normally available during Tour Week, but due to the exceptional circumstances this year, meals WILL be available in Mensa and the Den as they have for the past few weeks:

Mensa: Open 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. every day |
• |
Den: Open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. The Den will not have hot food available on Wednesday, April 22, due to previously scheduled cleaning. |
• |
The St. Elizabeth Bread Basket will be open during Tour Week but is still making plans based on food availability. Details will be shared later this week. |

Online support group meets Thursday
|
Counseling Services is offering an online drop-in support group for all Wartburg students. The first session will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 16. Although the drop-in counselors are licensed mental health professionals, the drop-in service is not meant to be a substitute for formal counseling and does not constitute mental health treatment. Students can join this group via Zoom by emailing counseling@wartburg.edu before 8 a.m. Thursday, April 16.

Access to academic buildings
|
Now effective Thursday, April 16 (previously April 17), all of the exterior doors to campus buildings will be locked, except for Saemann Student Center. After entering the Student Center, those who need to access other buildings may do so via the skywalks.

WartburgAlert coronavirus message
|
In the coming days you should expect to receive a WartburgAlert reminding you to continue to follow CDC recommendations regarding the COVID-19 pandemic. The alert is a new requirement of the Clery Act, a federal law which requires campuses to issue immediate alerts about any emergency situation that is a threat to the health or safety of students and employees.

Online Wartburg Book Club

Join the Online Wartburg Book Club, open to the whole Wartburg community of alumni, students, parents, faculty and staff... anyone who wants to read a good book and join in weekly discussion!
1. The book club will run May 4-June 1, with more information to come. The group will be free, but you will need to buy/borrow your own book.
2. Go to the Warburg Facebook page at www.facebook.com/wartburgcollege to vote for which book the group will read, and we'll tally the votes and reveal the book selection soon.

LAST CHANCE: UKnight for Students Fund applications due Sunday
|
Thank you to those students who have submitted a request from our UKnight for Students Fund. If you have experienced a financial need as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic and have not yet submitted a request, please do so by Sunday, April 19, after which date the allocations committee will begin its initial review of such requests.

The review process is expected to take several weeks. All students who submit requests will receive final word as to whether any grant was awarded. Thanks for your patience. Participate in esports competition
|
Interested in participating in an online esports competition? Wartburg has been invited to join the Taikai Esports Quarantine Cup! There will be three game tournaments featuring Fortnite, Rocket League and Smash Brothers that will take place April 20-25. There will be a casual tier and a competitive tier for anyone up to the challenge; there are prizes no matter which tier you join. Students who wish to participate should email their interest to lucas.wendland@wartburg.edu.
