Campus food pantry UPDATE
|
Under normal circumstances, St. Elizabeth's Bread Basket would serve as a safety net for our students experiencing food insecurity. However, the Northeast Iowa Food Bank, where SEBB obtains the majority of the groceries for students, has limited operations. In the interest of food safety, community donations are limited and most often not available.
In the past, we would purchase them from local grocery stores. As you have likely also experienced, there is now an extremely limited supply of basic food items at nearly every grocery store.
Wartburg's Dining Services is still receiving regular shipments from its food distributor and providing healthy meals to our students every day, weekends included. We encourage any student with dietary restrictions or experiencing any form of food insecurity to speak with Dining Services or Student Life. No student remaining on campus should go hungry. We are here to help. Email jennifer.onuigbo@wartburg.edu with questions. Click here to follow SEBB updates on Facebook.
