The Iowa Caucuses begin promptly at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 3. You must be registered to vote and must be registered with the party with which you will caucus (show up early to register for a party or to change your party registration on the night of the caucus). Bring your ID with you and proof of residency. At both the Democratic and Republican caucuses, non-voting observers are also welcome to attend. The two parties have different locations and procedures:
The Democratic Caucus has multiple locations in Waverly, depending on where you live. Students who live in the Manors or Knights Village (north of Fifth Avenue NW) are in Waverly Ward 5; the Democratic Caucus site for Ward 5 is the Waverly-Shell Rock High School Auditorium. Students who live in all other residence halls on campus are in Waverly Ward 3. The Waverly Ward 3 Democratic Caucus site is the St. Elizabeth Room on the second floor of Saemann Student Center. Click here to see the Waverly Ward map if you live off-campus.
Doors open at 6 p.m. Please bring a pen to fill out the presidential preference card. Click here to see details of how the Iowa Democratic Caucus operates. If you have questions, contact the Bremer County Democrats through their Facebok page.
