Wartburg's Opera Workshop presents "Amahl and the Night Visitors" at 7:30 p.m. tonight, Jan. 6, in Wartburg Chapel. In this Gian Carlo Menotti mini-opera, the Christmas story is retold through the experience of a disabled shepherd boy whose home is visited by the Three Kings on their way to Bethlehem. The production is free and open to the public.

Participant applications for Winter Break are open until the end of this week. Yes, THIS week! Now is the time to apply to get the best chance of being placed on your first choice trip.

Water to Thrive will hold a free-will donation pancake breakfast Saturday, Feb. 8. The fundraiser will be 8-11 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church & School, Waverly, and will also include a raffle.
