Recruiter for ELCA Global Mission on campus
|
Jenna Leazott, a short-term recruiter for ELCA Global Mission, is traveling throughout the Midwest to share stories from her Young Adults in Global Mission (YAGM) year in Mexico and to provide information about the ways that young adults can become involved in global service through the ELCA. Every year, the ELCA supports 60-90 young adults as they serve in a wide variety of volunteer roles on five different continents. The program is a deeply transformative way to spend a year or more after college graduation. Leazott will be at Weekday Chapel on Monday, Sept. 23, and can visit with students afterwards for a Q&A. She will be in the Tower Room (in the Chapel Office) from 10:45 a.m. to noon. Student can also contact Leazott via email to meet at another time or to ask questions about the program.

The spruce is a partner to a plum tree planted by Wartburg faculty and staff in the Luthergarten in Wittenberg, Germany. That garden features 500 trees planted in commemoration of the 500th anniversary of the Reformation, and it was established as a sign of solidarity, connectedness, and reconciliation of churches worldwide.
