Community Response Team report update
|
In an effort to ensure meaningful and transparent responses to incidents that impact the campus community, the Community Response Team website was recently updated to reflect the charges brought against a former student implicated in an incident on campus in February 2018. Please click here and select the 2017-18 Incident Report PDF. If you are aware of an incident of bias on campus, please contact Campus Security or any member of the Community Response Team (listed on the website).

Staff and faculty are invited to join a discussion of the new book “Hearing Vocation Differently: Meaning, Purpose, and Identity in the Multifaith Academy” this semester. This newly published volume from NetVUE invites discussion of how the concept of vocation resonates (and not) in the 21st century. It broadens out a conversation that has primarily been centered around Christian voices and concepts to engage people from many and no faith backgrounds. It builds on commitments expressed in Rooted & Open, a statement about Lutheran identity adopted by all ELCA colleges and universities in 2018. Participants will meet monthly in February, March, and April, and books and refreshments will be provided. Please let Veronica Reece and/or Caryn Riswold know before Friday, Feb. 1, if you are interested in joining this conversation.
