Thanksgiving meal for students |
Residential Life, in conjunction with International Student Services and Multicultural Student Services, will host a Thanksgiving meal for all students staying on campus over Thanksgiving break. The meal will be Wednesday, Nov. 22, from 5:30 to 7 p.m., in the Chapel Commons. Containers will be provided to take home leftovers. Please RSVP to Jennifer Onuigbo or stop by the Student Life Office if you would like to attend. |

The Chemistry, Physics, and Engineering Club is looking to recruit volunteers to assist with the preparation for the 2018 Physics and Chemistry Demonstration Show. Decorate a tree for Festival of Trees |
The annual Wartburg-Waverly Festival of Trees will brighten the halls of Wartburg’s Classroom Technology Center Nov. 29-Dec. 14. Model United Nations panel event |
Wartburg Model United Nations will sponsor a panel event Monday, Nov. 20, 7-9 p.m., in WBC 117. The topic for the event is “What, generally speaking, is the food crisis in Yemen and in the associated North African countries? Study Abroad photo contest voting |
The Study Abroad Office invites students and faculty/staff to vote in the annual Study Abroad photo contest. The 46 submissions can be viewed on the walls outside the Den. Voting ballots are across from the photos in the Student Life Office. Each student or faculty/staff member may only vote once for one photo, and you will then be entered into a drawing for a $15 gift certificate to The Wartburg Store. Voting ends Friday, Dec. 1. |

STEM internships in Germany – no German required |
Are you a science or engineering major? Want to intern in Germany? Then check out the RISE Germany summer internship program for undergraduate students from the United States, Canada, and the UK in the fields of biology, chemistry, physics, earth sciences, and engineering. RISE Germany offers unique opportunities for students to work with research groups at universities and top research institutions across Germany for a period of three months during the summer. RISE Germany interns are matched with doctoral students whom they assist and who serve as their mentors. The working language will be English. All scholarship holders receive stipends from the DAAD to help cover living expenses, while partner universities and research institutes provide housing assistance. Applications are due Dec. 15.
