|Holi Festival & Asian BBQ
|The Asian Student Association (ASA) has rescheduled its Holi/Asian BBQ for Monday, May 22. The Holi (festival of colors) will begin at 3 p.m. on Clinton Field. The Asian BBQ will begin at 4:30 p.m in front of Clinton Hall (near the benches). Please come and enjoy!
|Bicycles over the summer
|Unless you are living on campus this summer, you must remove all of your personal property when you check out of your room. This includes bicycles. There are no storage options available on campus, and any bicycles found on campus after May 29 will be deemed abandoned and disposed of as the college deems appropriate.
|Register your vehicle for next year, save $25
|If you are bringing a vehicle to campus in the fall, for any duration, you must register online by June 27. Registrations after that date will incur a $25 late registration fee. To register, log in on InfoCenter. Under “Offices” select “Parking & Safety” and then click on “Parking Registration.” If you register correctly, you’ll receive a confirmation email. If you have any problems registering, contact Campus Security or visit the Campus Security Office weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
|The Wartburg garden, located across the street from Lohe Hall, still has beds open for members of the Wartburg community who will be in the area this summer. Those who “adopt” a bed in the garden are expected to volunteer 1-2 hours per month maintaining the garden beds for the college, use organic practices, and maintain the weeds and any overhang in your bed. Anne Duncan, sustainability coordinator, can advise you on how to plant, when to plant, and how to maintain your plants. Email Duncan if you are interested.
|Say thanks to Kathy
|Kathy Liddle, Spiritual Life and Campus Ministry office coordinator, will be leaving the college at the end of May. Behind the scenes, she has faithfully served Wartburg students, faculty, staff, and alumni for 18 years—one year in Development and 17 years in SL&CM. Pastors Ramona and Brian invite you to share your thanks for her work with a card or email (or casually drop by the office before the end of the week). She has been an invaluable partner in ministry and we are grateful for her faithful service.
|The Juice schedule
|This is the final issue of Student Juice for the academic year, with occasional emails as needed throughout the summer. The Juice will resume weekly emails when Fall Term begins on Sept. 5.
|Golden Knight Awards
|The annual Golden Knight Awards will be 7 p.m. Monday, May 22, in McCaskey Lyceum to celebrate the achievements and outstanding performances for the 2016-17 athletic seasons. The awards also will be live-streamed at www.wartburg.edu/knightvision.
|Information Technology Services will be installing upgrades to the InfoCenter beginning this week. Very little should change other than a few aesthetic items. The entire InfoCenter website will receive a makeover during the summer months. If you are an administrator for InfoCenter pages and encounter any difficulty in making updates after the upgrades, contact Rich Everhardt.
|VAC diaper drive
| The Volunteer Action Center is hosting a diaper drive through Tuesday, May 23. Donations of diapers, wipes, $10 gas gift cards, baby books, and baby wash/lotion are needed. All donations will go to low-income families who participate in the Nest program through Operation Threshold in Waterloo. Please drop off donations in the VAC office in Student Life. Direct questions to email@example.com.
|Des Moines Urban Studies program
|Applications still are being accepted to attend the Des Moines Urban Studies program for Fall Term. Third- or fourth-year students interested in an internship in their major while taking classes via distance learning should consider applying. For more information, contact Jo Dorrance.

|The Mail Center will be forwarding mail to addresses as provided in the directory starting Monday, June 5. If you will be on campus for the summer, please contact the Mail Center at firstname.lastname@example.org or stop by and sign up to keep your mailbox open. Departing students: Any outstanding packages that are not picked up by June 2 will be RETURNED TO SENDER or FORWARDED, depending on the carrier.
|Peru research presentations
|The 2017 Ecology and Culture of the Amazon (GM/BI 295) May Term course students will be presenting results of individual research (biological, chemical, ecological, ethnological, societal, etc.) performed in Peru during their time in the Amazon jungle with the indigenous Maijuna people. Presentations will begin at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 24, in SC 102, and everyone is welcome to attend.
|Wartburg address for graduating seniors
|Please remember to delete your Wartburg address from any company you regularly order from. Don’t waste your Amazon Prime by accidentally sending your next order to Wartburg!
