Large event — Singer, songwriter, and record producer Andy Grammer will perform at Wartburg Friday, Oct. 23, as Entertainment ToKnight's 2015 Large Event. The concert will begin at 8 p.m. in Neumann Auditorium and feature singer Aaron Carter as the opening act. Tickets will be available exclusively to Wartburg students for $5 on the following dates:
- Monday, Sept. 14, 6 a.m.-1 p.m. and 2-7 p.m., Neumann Auditorium lobby
- Tuesday, Sept. 15, 8 a.m.-7 p.m., Information Desk, Saemann Student Center

Beginning Monday, Sept. 21, students, faculty, and staff (with a Wartburg ID) can purchase tickets for $10. Beginning Monday, Sept. 28, all remaining tickets will be available to the public for $20. Questions can be directed to etk@wartburg.edu.
Student parking instructions — When parking overnight, students must park in their assigned parking lot with the current year (2015-16) registration decal affixed on the vehicle’s rear window. Failure to do so may result in parking fines. Full parking enforcement (daytime parking restrictions) begins Wednesday, Sept. 9. Do you like to sing? — There are five co-curricular choirs in which you can get involved: Kantorei (mixed), Ritterchor (men's), St. Elizabeth Chorale (women's), Castle Singers (chamber), and Wartburg Choir (mixed). People of all ability levels are welcome, even if you have never been in a choir before. To get involved, sign-up for a five-minute voice placement hearing (range check) Sept. 7-9 on the bulletin board outside the music office in the Fine Arts Center. Ceramic art exhibit — Iowa City ceramic artist Eliza Au will use geometry to explore mankind’s place in the cycle of life in the first exhibit of the 2015-16 season in the Waldemar A. Schmidt Art Gallery. “Frame of Reference” will run Thursday, Sept. 10, through Sunday, Oct. 25. Doctor Who course — The Doctor Who course (IS 201 07) is returning for the Winter Term. The class meets Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7:45-9:25 a.m., and explores issues of race, class, gender, and sexuality using The Doctor and his companions. Previous exposure to the series not required. Professors showcased at Bach’s Lunch — Karen Black, professor of music, and Jacob Tews, visiting assistant professor of music, will perform Friday, Sept. 11, 12:30 p.m., in Wartburg Chapel for the first Bach's Lunch program of the academic year. The recital, featuring music for the organ and viola, will be preceded by a noon lunch and explanation of the program in Chapel Commons.
