Offices closed during Wednesday Chapel time during Lent
The Christian church year season of Lent sets aside the six weeks prior to the Easter celebration of Jesus’ resurrection from the dead, as a time to press “pause” and return to questions about God’s purposes and our own. During the Wednesdays of Lent, college administrative offices, as well as the Den and the Konditorei, will close during Wednesday Weekday chapel time, 10:15-10:35 a.m. (The W, Zesty Orange, Security Office, Information Desk, and Mensa will remain open). This provides time for faculty, staff, and students to participate in the Lenten chapels or take a break from meetings, lessons, and daily work. Please note that food ordered through GET will be available as soon as the stores open, including board plan meal transfers. Lent began March 2 and continues until April 14.

Parking rules to be more strictly enforced, towing possible
Vehicles in violation of the Wartburg parking policy can be issued tickets and assessed fines by Campus Safety & Security. When a vehicle creates a hazard or safety concern, blocks a service or campus roadway, or is habitually in violation of the college’s parking regulations it may be towed (Section II:J Towing and Booting).
Charges incurred during the towing process are the responsibility of the parking permit holder/driver. Damages that may occur to the vehicle during towing will be settled between the owner and the towing company and are not the responsibility of the College.
All violations are subject to tow; however, in most cases good faith efforts will be made to contact the registered driver(s) of the vehicle before towing. If an individual is found to be a habitual violator (four or more of the same violation), one attempt will be made to contact the registered driver(s). If the vehicle is not moved in a reasonable amount of time or contact is not made, the vehicle will be towed. Some violations will result in an immediate ticket and tow without an attempt to contact the vehicle driver(s). Those include, but are not limited to, vehicles parked in fire lanes and vehicles parked in handicapped spaces without proper authorization.
Vehicles will be towed to Dale’s Auto Service, 119 4th St. SW. Vehicles that are not picked up will incur a daily storage fee.
