Dec. 13, 2021

Important change to Juice policy

We’re changing the way that items are submitted to The Juice, to make the process more efficient. Effective immediately, all items submitted to The Juice must be sent in via the form at this link. If you email your item to the Juice email, you will be asked to re-submit your item using the form. (The link is also included in the gray box at the end of every Juice email.) Please remember to keep your item short and include necessary information such as when and where. If you have an item that needs to be sent to the campus community urgently, please email Juice@wartburg.edu.

Today's edition is the final regular Juice of the term. Regular editions will begin again Monday, Jan. 10, at the start of Winter Term. Please submit your items by 4 p.m. Thursday each week to be included.

Reminder about faculty/staff giving

As the year comes to an end, it is time to start thinking ahead toward 2022. We are asking employees to consider making a gift to the College through payroll deduction this year. It's a fast and easy way to make a consistent impact throughout the year. Plus, signing up for payroll deduct also could win you 8 hours of PTO! We want to show that your gifts are very much appreciated, along with all the hard work you do.

To be entered into a drawing to win 8 hours of PTO:

Sign up for a NEW payroll deduction of ANY amount.
If already enrolled in payroll deduct, increase your deduction by ANY amount.

Also, all of our faculty/staff donors will be invited to join us Jan. 12 from 8 to 10 a.m. in the K-Dit for a free drink on us!

Remember to sign up for payroll deduct by Dec. 17 to be entered into the drawing. To set up payroll deduct, click here or stop by Advancement for a paper form. Contact bethany.brooks@wartburg.edu with questions.

Master of Arts tuition discount for Wartburg employees, spouses & childrenissing table ban

Interested in joining the second cohort of the Master of Arts in Leadership program? Do you have a spouse or child interested in participating? This year we have expanded, as a benefit to employees and their families, the employee discount. Employees, employee spouses, and employee children are eligible to receive a 20% reduction in the tuition cost of the Master of Arts in Leadership if they begin in the summer of 2022. Those interested in this benefit will indicate in their graduate application their connection to a Wartburg employee.

The associated employee must remain employed at Wartburg during the period in which the student receives the discount. As this is a graduate program, all students need to have already completed a bachelor’s degree prior to program start.

To learn more about experiences of some members of the inaugural cohort, watch this video. Prospective students can reach out to michael.gleason@wartburg.edu about general MA in Leadership program information and doug.koschmeder@wartburg.edu regarding questions on the discount.

Already vaxxed or boosted? Add your vaccine card to our count

If you have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and/or have already received your booster dose, please use this form to send in a photo of your completed vaccination card. You may also show your vaccine card to college staff in the following locations to log your vaccination status: students in the Student Life Office, and faculty/staff in the Human Resources Office. Either method will help the college get an updated count of how many on campus are vaccinated and help the college plan mitigation efforts.
