Request tickets for Saturday’s Cultural Show

The International Club’s Cultural Show on Saturday has been approved to invite off-campus attendees. Therefore, IClub will be issuing free tickets to all who want to attend to keep the audience at the proper capacity. Please email iclub@wartburg.edu with the number of tickets and the mailbox number you wish your ticket(s) to be delivered. The show will be at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 10, in Neumann Auditorium; doors open at 7. Masks and social distancing required. The show will also be streamed live on IClub’s Facebook page.

Vaccine clinic update

Thank you, campus community, for your quick response to signing up for vaccine appointments Friday in Levick Arena! All the slots have been filled, but if you are still interested in having an on-campus COVID vaccine, please indicate your interest using this form; if enough people are still interested, we may be able to have another on-campus clinic soon. If you have questions, email covidresponse@wartburg.edu.

The Bremer County Health Department still has times available for its vaccine clinic on Thursday, April 8, from 2 to 6 p.m. This clinic will administer a Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) single-dose vaccine (approved for those age 18 and older) in the John Droste Building on the Bremer County Fairgrounds (717 5th Ave. SW in Waverly). Click here to secure an appointment. Once on the website, click Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) in the drop-down menu and then select April 8. No walk-ins will be accepted.

Become a Faith in the Vaccine ambassador

A select cohort of Wartburg College student leaders will work in their home and/or chosen communities, particularly faith communities, throughout the summer months to advocate for and educate about the COVID vaccine. Vaccine hesitancy remains an issue in many places, for many reasons, and we need you to leverage your existing connections to spread faith in the vaccine. If you are interested in earning $1,500 for your service and leadership in this bridge-building role, contact Dr. Caryn Riswold as soon as possible for more information about this opportunity, funded and offered in partnership with the Interfaith Youth Core. Training begins in May, and the cohort will be selected before the end of April. Click here for more information.
