Governor Culver stopped in Waverly last Wednesday to talk about I-Jobs, Iowa’s infrastructure investment initiative.

I-Jobs is a program that will help bring more jobs to Iowans. It is a $750 million investment that Governor Culver says will lead to billions of dollars of projects to improve the state while supporting local businesses and strengthening our economy.

Culver also brought good news with him for Waverly.

“I am happy to announce that the Department of Economic Development has approved the stat match of $1.1 million to complete the Waverly Dam Reconstruction Project,” said Governor Culver.

The Waverly Dam Reconstruction Project will help protect 150 businesses and 400 homes when it is complete.
