Waverly-Shell Rock voters approved a school bond totaling close to $19 million.
3,100 voters turned out to vote in this election, which led to a 65.26 percent approval of the bond, according to kwwl.com.
The bond will combine with previously granted FEMA money to fund the rebuilding of Washington Irving Elementary School, which was flooded in the summer, and also replace the outdated Waverly Junior High.
The district said the bond will only increase individual property tax by $.51 per $1,000 taxed over 20 years.
